HLF is made from a 100% recyclable plastic that was developed in Bodman on Lake Constance. To carry out the necessary product testing and checks, we needed an expert partner, which we found in the shape of the Fraunhofer Institute.
As well as developing the material itself, our decades of experience in fitting synthetic deck coverings was instrumental in the product’s success.

Wipe-clean
HLF IS SUPER EASY TO CLEAN AND LOOK AFTER
The HLF deck can simply be wiped or hosed down like any other flooring. If you do have a slight mishap, in most cases you can easily wipe away dirt or spillages such as grease, wine or fish blood with a cloth or sponge and some detergent.- Super easy to clean
- Use a cloth, sponge or brush with a little detergent
- Use the deck shower or a hose pipe to wash the floor down with pure water
- For bigger spillages, you can use a battery-powered or static pressure washer
- Stubborn stains that have worked their way into the HLF flooring over time can be quickly and easily removed with sandpaper. The resulting paler spot will darken with time and blend with the surrounding colour

HLF SAVES YOU TIME THAT YOU CAN SPEND ON THE WATER.
This is particularly thanks to the special characteristics of our self-developed PVC, along with the innovative way the decking is made – as a complete, form-fitting mat. There are no welding seams that could come apart over time.
- No sealant or protective varnish necessary, which means no extra surface treatment is needed over its lifetime – unlike with conventional teak wood
- Continuous covering (complete mat), with the joints merely milled in, so no leaks will emerge over time
- If necessary, your HLF deck can be resanded to return it to its original state

Whichever class of boat you’re into, HLF fits them all. What’s more, we can produce it in any design you wish. Simply provide us with a template of the surfaces to be covered and we’ll turn it into a data set which we use to cut out the perfectly fitting deck covering with your chosen design.
FITTING
A REVOLUTION – WE FIT ENTIRE LENGTHS
Until now, deck flooring always consisted of flexible plastic made up of individual strips that were stuck together, welded and then laid. It was laborious and there was always the risk of a joint that wasn’t quite watertight.
The HLF way
We make complete, self-contained mats, which are glued onto the deck. In other words, the walking deck consists of a single mat. The joints, motifs etc. are cut into the mat and all necessary notches or holes are cut out. To produce this mat, all we need is an exact template. We then digitalise it, apply the appropriate slat layout or the desired motif, and the mat is milled or cut out. Also when it comes to incorporating motifs, there are practically no limits.
Another advantage of a self-contained mat is that it saves you time and work because it’s so easy to fit. Unlike other products on the market, HLF does not have to be weighted down. Just one more thing that makes HLF a cost-effective alternative.

PEEL & STICK
THE INNOVATIVE WAY TO LAY DECK FLOORING
Ideal for hard-to-access areas or tight spaces.
Preparation:
- Remove the old flooring
- Sand down the rough gelcoat surfaces (if necessary)
This depends on the height of the rough surface
Fitting:
- Position the mats on the surface to be covered
- Remove the adhesive tape from the back of the mats
- Press the mats down
- Done! Ready to walk on immediately, but protect from the sun for 12 hours

Laying the covering was really uncomplicated.
It took me 2.5 days, including the joints.
Apart from its appearance, which is constantly being mentioned to me because it looks so good. I am also totally happy and satisfied with the feel of the flooring.
