Until now, there have been plenty of reasons why you might want a traditional teak wood deck. It looks beautiful, it’s durable, slip-proof and gives the boat a quality look.
Often in motor boat cockpits you see other types of flooring, such as carpets or EVA foam. These coverings in particular are not a long-term alternative to teak, as they very quickly get dirty, absorb unpleasant smells or become damaged through wear and tear.
With HLF, you get a real alternative to teak, which can match it in all product characteristics, whether slip-resistance, heat conduction or appearance.
And in small spaces in particular, such as cockpits, HLF really comes into its own, among other things because it’s so easy to fit – you just peel and stick!
Laying the covering was really uncomplicated.
It took me 2.5 days, including the joints.
Apart from its appearance, which is constantly being mentioned to me because it looks so good. I am also totally happy and satisfied with the feel of the flooring.
Even in rough seas with a flooded deck, I can stand absolutely steady and even our dog has grip under his paws.

You can’t do it without good preparation. In the morning we prepared the surfaces – sanded them down. It was quite laborious.

The HLF deck is now a year old and we’re still delighted we chose it!
I was looking for a new deck for my steel yacht, as my teak deck was getting on in years (50) and was sadly no longer watertight! We looked around and compared material, performance, price and design.
We narrowed it down to an original teak wood as well as the HLF, which, in terms of durability, can easily hold its own against wood!

I’ve had my new High Level Floor deck covering for a year now and I’d like to thank you again most sincerely for the excellent advice and workmanship.
The flooring has very much upgraded my boat and this will also be reflected should I come to sell it later. You no longer see any dirty footprints on the deck and it gives you a very homely and warm feeling.
